Officials of Jubilee party Muranga brach. They have denounced Mr Simon Gikuru as the chair for the branch.

A faction of Jubilee party Muranga branch has alerted Jubilee members that Mr Simon Gikuru is not their chairperson.

The team led by Mr Samuel Macharia alias Bosnia who claims to be the bonafide party secretary general of the branch said Mr Gikuru was ousted as the chairperson and that he has no moral audacity to address the public as so.

They accused Mr Gikuru of impersonating as the chairperson and called on Kenyans to beware of his ‘pretense’.

Mr Joel Irungu Mwaniki, the Deputy Secretary General said Mr Gikuru’s fate was sealed early last year when he held a controversial meeting in Kiambu that purported to change the leadership of Muranga County Assembly.

“After the controversial meeting in Kiambu we were called in Nairobi Jubilee party offices and the entire County Jubilee party officials resolved to remove Mr Gikuru as the chairperson, he however remains a member of the branch officials,”

“This is therefore to let the members of public to be alert and understand that he has no powers to refer himself as the chair,” Mr Mwaniki added.

Two months ago, Mr Gikuru held a presser at Kenol town in support of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his administration and about a month ago, he led a delegation of MCAs to Nairobi to meet Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavandi.

The Muheria led team cautioned Mcas and other leaders not to be misled by Mr Gikuru.

The officials put Muranga MCAs on notice to continue fulfilling their mandate of paying their monthly dues

The team which met on Tuesday at Golden Palm hotel also reminded the Jubilee sponsored Mcas to update their membership contributions saying they have established a three member committee to investigate whether the MCAs have complied with the membership contributions.

Mr Muheria said the team will be led by Mr Macharia and will report back to the officials in two weeks time.

“The 3-member committee will be investigating whether the MCAs have complied with depositing their monthly contributions and we shall work closely with the party headquarters, we shall then advise the way forward especially to the errant members,” Mr Muheria said.
