Confusion has marred Kirinyaga County after locals woke up to find leaflets calling on locals to turn up for major protests to push for the ouster of the embattled Governor Ann Waiguru.
The leaflets bearing the message ‘Waiguru must go’ were distributed by unknown people in the following areas Kagio, Mwea, Kerugoya, Gathonge, PI, Makutano, Sagana, Kibirigwi among others.
The leaflets urged locals to turn out for major protests to push the 11-member Senate Committee investigating the governor to be fair and just during their cross examination between the governor and the County Assembly.

The distribution of leaflets come a day after the governor delivered evidence stashed in over 40 cartons to Senate which she hopes to rely on while answering to the charges filed against her by the Kirinyaga County Assembly after voting to impeach her.
After delivering the evidence, the governor said she filed responses to the impeachment motion with substantive responses to each of the allegations leveled against her saying she had confidence that her response was sound.
She urged Kenyans to allow Senate to do its work adding that she was confident that the rule of law will be done and that truth and justice would prevail.
” Let’s allow senate to do its work. I have confidence in the rule of law and believe that Truth & Justice will be our shield and defender,” she said.
