As the date for the next general elections draws nearer, politicians are drawing their cards on what position to vie.
Chege Wa Beth, a staff in Muturi Kigano’s office at the Constituency level is not an exception.
A mobilizer, public speaker, soft spoken and a convincer, Chege Wa Beth is gearing to crisscross all the Constituencies in Muranga in bid to popularize his Senatorial bid, he says he is ready.
Having vied for MCA in 2017 in the much disputed Kanyenyaini Ward polls, Chege emerged position two and while conducting campaigns, he doubled up as the Kangema Constituency Jubilee chief agent which meant he had to balance his personal and party campaigns.
His announcement that he will be vying for the Senate is a major relief to the incumbent, Mr Kongo who was heard earlier last week saying that his biggest threat was Chege.
A son of a single mother and an apt teacher who taught at Kiruri boys until 2017, Chege has interpersonal skills and is able to relate with people in the best manner.
Given that Senator Irungu Kangata will be vying for the governorship, this means that the Senate seat is vacant and Chege believes he has what it takes to become the third Senator in Muranga.
“I’m ready to defend the County resources and agitate for more funds to our county,” Chege told our political desk.
Mr Chege will be launching his campaign team in few months to come where he has picked the cream dela cream to deliver the Senate seat.
