Muranga leaders led by Governor Mwangi Wa Iria at KICD with Cs Fred Matiang’i. Mps Wahome and Nyoro gave the meeting a wide berth

Two Tanga Tanga MPs in Muranga gave a meeting for Muranga leaders at Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) a wide berth and instead opted to jointly inspect development projects in their areas.

The two Alice Wahome and Ndindi Nyoro claim they were never invited at the meeting but decided to inspect the projects jointly.

The leaders are ardent supporters of Deputy President William Ruto and are in the forefront popularising Dr Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid.

The Uhuru Kenyatta government has off late seem to be punishing the pro Ruto MPs and Senators where they have been removed from their respective committees in both houses.

Mp Alice Wahome. She was not invited at KICD for Muranga leadership meeting.

The government has been justifying the leaders’ removal from house leadership by claiming that they (pro Ruto leaders) have prioritized campaigning for Dr Ruto instead of following President Kenyatta’s directives and agenda which includes but not limited to Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

The leaders who met at KICD included Governor Mwangi Wa Iria, Senator Irungu Kangata, Mary Waithira Wamaua (Maragua) Peter Kimari (Mathioya) Muturi Kigano (Kangema) Wanjiru Chege, Nduati Ngugi (Gatanga (among others

Government was represented by Cs Fred Matiang’i who is the chair for the National Development and Implementation and Communication Committee.

Mp Ndindi Nyoro. He will accompany his Kandara counterpart Alice Wahome to inspect various development projects in their Constituencies

Others were Cs James Macharia (Transport, Roads, and Urban Housing) Ps Irungu Wairagu among others.
