The general election is slated for next year and Deputy President William Ruto wants to play his cards well as sibling rivalry in his camp may make or break his support in Mt Kenya region.
Should Ruto allied leaders vie against each other, the Deputy President may be forced to take a hard line position to have his preferred candidate and this may offend the losing candidate who still has his supporters intact and good supporters to scuttle Ruto’s Presidential quest.
For this reason, Kkonlinenews.co.ke has received intelligence that there are talks between Kiharu Mp Ndindi Nyoro and Senator Irungu Kangata to have either of them vie for the Governor’s position while the other may be considered on government positions.
Further revelations has shown that Ruto’s choice in Muranga is Mp Nyoro owing to his consistency in Ruto camp while he is advising Kangata to support Nyoro in return of getting the Speaker position in his government.
According to reliable sources, Nyoro is said to be having a serious influence in Muranga following a funded poll by Dr Ruto’s insiders and this is the simple reason that has informed him to decide who among the two should vie for the gubernatorial seat.
Sources in Karen have further intimated that although Ruto is yet to make the matter official, he will be meeting the two ardent leaders after the Kiambaa polls to speak his mind over the matter.
“You see we don’t want to lose in any election especially in Mt Kenya region and thats why we are keen on having Nyoro as our preferred candidate in Muranga, because of his anti Kenyatta remarks and his physical appearance in vernacular Tv and radio stations, he has made a debut in himself and a force to reckon with in Muranga,” a source who did not wish to be quoted whispered to Kkonlinenews.
The Ruto kitchen cabinet leaders were thrilled by the fact that although Kangata was the main darling of Ruto in his reign as Kiharu Mp, Nyoro is now the most trusted person on Ruto’s camp and played a key role in bringing him back to Ruto and therefore earned favour in Ruto’s ears.
Some of Nyoro’s key trusted people have staged an enhanced social media campaign to ask netizens to propose for him which political seat he should vie in a mind game to test waters to the youth electorate.
