However, the young visionary turk even after her name was submitted for the nomination slot was never selected, a move that caused a public uproar to an extent of social media users coming up with a hash tag #IStandWithWambuiNyutu in solidarity of Ms Nyutu.
Youth expressed their dissatisfaction after the lawyer mobilized them across the country to vote for Jubilee government saying they had been betrayed by the State.
It was then that, the advocate for youth and women empowerment landed a job at National Irrigation Authority as a Director where he used the opportunity to lobby for water for Irrigation for Nginda Ward in Maragua where she hail from.
The youth leader assisted the Authority in decisions in their day to day activities and it is during her short period that the authority initiated several irrigation projects in Kenya.
Due to her prowess, Ms Nyutu was picked by President Uhuru Kenyatta to become a commissioner for NCIC where the National Assembly gave her a clean bill of health.
Ms Nyutu who the youth has described as the perfect mix of beauty with brains has her star shining day and night, even after her name missed in the nomination slots, she is now set to replace the errant Senators who snubbed President Kenyatta’;s State House meeting some months ago.
Mr Mwangi Kamande from Maragua said the position of Nominated Senator belonged to Ms Nyutu saying her consideration is the best news of rewriting the historical injustice meted on the visionary leader.
“This seat belonged to her, we pray that this time round, some people will not play hide and seek,” he said.
On her part Mary Wanjiru said Ms Nyutu has been a role model to many adding that her humility and soberness will take her to great political heights.
“That will be the greatest juicy and best news, Ms Nyutu has been a refuge of hope to her Nginda ward village in Maragua,” she noted.
She has been rehabilitating several schools in Nginda, feeding the poor and creating awareness on Covid-19 as well as feeding the poor.
